Description

Tadalafil is a prescription treatment for erectile dysfunction. Its effects may last longer than sildenafil, although the medicine still requires sexual stimulation to work.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, erectile dysfunction treatments can cause side effects, although not everybody experiences them.

Possible common side effects include:

  • Headache
  • Facial flushing
  • Indigestion
  • Feeling sick
  • Blocked or stuffy nose
  • Dizziness
  • Muscle or back pain, particularly with tadalafil

Read the patient information leaflet supplied with your medicine and take it exactly as directed.

Seek urgent medical assistance if you experience:

  • Chest pain
  • A prolonged or painful erection
  • Sudden loss or reduction of vision
  • Sudden hearing loss
  • A seizure
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Swelling of the face, lips, mouth or throat
  • Signs of a serious allergic reaction

Do not take another dose while experiencing a serious reaction. Tell the healthcare professional which erectile dysfunction medicine you have taken.
